Trifolium kentuckiense

This clover I found in Woodford County in April of 2010. I returned to photograph it to submit to the experts for identification confirmation. I thought it was Trifolium reflexum, buffalo clover. A botanist at the time Daniel Boone confirmed it to be buffalo clover, but noted some growth differences. Samples were submitted to Dr. Michael Vincent of Miami University for genetic confirmation. It was determined last week that this is indeed a native species of clover unknown to science.
